POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Project Overview:

U.S. Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires contract services for facility management, operations, preventive maintenance, custodial, pest control, snow removal, service together with repair services for buildings, structures, grounds, utilities, and related support systems and equipment at their facility Brookhaven Service Center (BSC) in Holtsville, NY.

Position Overview:

The Deputy Project Manager will be responsible for making all critical decisions for contract operations in the absence of the Project Manager of the work for the Consolidated Services contract at Brookhaven Service Center. The Deputy Project Manager will act for the Project Manager during any temporary absence of the Project Manager.

Contractor employees shall be federal tax compliant and must remain compliant while working on an IRS contract.

This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent. If the contract is awarded, another position posting will be available on the Company Careers portal.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Responsible to make all critical decisions for contract operations in the absence of the Project Manager
• Act for the Project Manager during any temporary absence of the Project Manager
• Serve as the Operation and Maintenance Shift Supervisor
• Must be fully knowledgeable of all safety, environmental, and energy requirements associated with the work they perform.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be a journeyman in the state of New York and hold an active journeyman license.
• Must possess at least four (4) years of recent experience (within the past 7 years) of operating and maintaining facility equipment.
• Must have experience working at a government facility as a Supervisor or facility management role.
• Experience shall be in buildings of at least the similar size and characteristics of the building(s) to be operated and maintained. This includes but is not limited to experience in accomplishing preventive maintenance management, repairs, and custodial management to the following types of systems with similar rated capacities: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, large chiller plants, low pressure boilers, computerized fire alarm systems, emergency generators, high voltage switchgear, and complex building automation systems.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
